WPIAL 2008 Girls Softball Playoff Brackets Now Available

2008 WPIAL BASEBALL PLAYOFFS
The dream of WPIAL diamond gold is still alive for 56 teams with the end of the regular season. 13 teams in Class AAAA, 19 in Class AA and 12 each in Class AAA and Class A are about to begin their quest for a district baseball crown. 61 WPIAL softball teams have survived the regular season and are now preparing for the postseason. The new goal for these teams is to reach the WPIAL Softball Finals in their classification on May 29th at California University of Pennsylvania. WPIAL Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Game Roster Announced
A week before the start of the postseason, the WPIAL Baseball Coaches Association has announced the All-Star teams for its 5th Annual All-Star Games. The games are scheduled for Saturday, June 14 at Burkett Field in Robinson Township. The first game of the doubleheader will start at 5 p.m. and will pit the WPIAL Class A All-Stars versus the WPIAL Class AA All-Stars. It was a tale of two championship victories Thursday at the 2008 WPIAL Boys Track and Field Team Championships at West Mifflin High School. WPIAL Boys Team Tennis Finals Set
The top two seeds in both Class AAA and Class AA have survived three rounds to reach the finals of the 2008 WPIAL Boys Team Tennis Championships. Upper St. Clair tries for a fifth consecutive WPIAL crown as they face Shady Side Academy in AAA while four-time defending champion Sewickley Academy and Mount Pleasant in AA will serve for gold Friday afternoon at the Lake Vue Racquet Club in Valencia. more...
