One was crowned WPIAL Girls Singles Tennis Class AA champion back in September while the other had to settle for WPIAL Class AAA runner-up. Saturday afternoon, both are served for state gold and their furtunes from the district championships were reversed. WPIAL Class AAA runner-up Joelle Kissell of Latrobe won the PIAA Class AAA Girls Singles Tennis Championship Saturday afternoon in Hershey while WPIAL Class AA golden girl Tanya Timko of Chartiers-Houston fell in the PIAA Class AA title match as the Hershey Racquest Club.

2009 WPIAL Class AAA champion Ronit Yorovsky of Plum lost in the AAA Semifinals Saturday morning, but bounced back to win the AAA consolation match.
