Student Athlete Spotlight - Kirstie Cortazzo
|
|
Kirstie Cortazzo a junior shortstop from Jeannette High School. She is a high honor roll
student that currently holds a 4.16 GPA and treasurer of her class.
Kirstie just finished this year's season with a batting average of .612. She also has hit
safely for a total of 33 straight games (17 games from 2008 and 16 from 2009). She has only
committed one error this season. During the last week of the season Kirstie was 10 for 15
with 2 HR's and 2-2B.
Kirstie played on the varsity soccer team for the past three seasons and has been the leading
scorer every year. She has also been a 3 year starter for the varsity basketball team and was
the second leading scorer for 2 of the 3 years. She will be a new member of the Jayhawk
cheerleading squad this fall.
Kirstie also plays softball for the Alle-West Hurricane 18-U tournament team and was a member
of the Queen of Diamonds showcase this January.

| How to Get Your Student in the Spotlight |
|
Balancing sports, schoolwork, and other activities is one of your
child's greatest challenges. We at MSA Sports would like to
spotlight some of these students who do just that - and do it WELL!
Parents, teachers, family members and friends, we need your help
identifying students to feature in the Student Athlete Spotlight.
Send a photograph of the student, along with some biographical
information. Student bio should be brief (2 or 3 paragraphs) and
include sport played and position, academic and other honors, GPA,
extracurricular activities, and any other information that helps to
showcase the achievements and character of this student athlete.
Once your child is selected we will send you a permission form to
allow us to post the student's picture and profile. Please
use this form to submit a student
for consideration.
