Student Athlete Spotlight - Mick Betler
|
|
A senior at Geibel Catholic, Mick Betler has a 4.17 GPA and is fourth in his graduating class.
Mick has been the 3-year QB and captain in Football and made All-Tri County South Team and All Fayette County all 3 years,
he was captain and point guard for the Gator basketball team his senior season and made All Fayette County, and he is the
catcher and captain in baseball this season after making All County last year. Mick has been a starter for three years in
baseball, the last two as catcher.
Mick also had a minor lead in this year's school musical, “Sweet Charity”, has been an altar server at his parish in
Charleroi for 8 years, is Treasurer of the National Honor Society at Geibel Ca
Mick will spend this summer as catcher for the Charleroi American Legion baseball team and he has been chosen to play
in the Tri-County All-Star Football Classic at South Fayette HS on June 20th.
Mick will be attending Allegheny College in the fall to play baseball and football, and he will major in
Mathematics/Corporate Finance.

| How to Get Your Student in the Spotlight |
|
Balancing sports, schoolwork, and other activities is one of your
child's greatest challenges. We at MSA Sports would like to
spotlight some of these students who do just that - and do it WELL!
Parents, teachers, family members and friends, we need your help
identifying students to feature in the Student Athlete Spotlight.
Send a photograph of the student, along with some biographical
information. Student bio should be brief (2 or 3 paragraphs) and
include sport played and position, academic and other honors, GPA,
extracurricular activities, and any other information that helps to
showcase the achievements and character of this student athlete.
Once your child is selected we will send you a permission form to
allow us to post the student's picture and profile. Please
use this form to submit a student
for consideration.
