| MSA Sports Network Student Athlete Spotlight |
|
Nick Sipes, a senior at Curwensville High School, is currently the Valedictorian of
his class with a 101.874 accumulative GPA. He has rushed for 5963 yards over 4 years and has
had 35 consective games of over 100 yards in rushing, finishing his senior year with
1987 yards. Nick has been a key player in multiple positions as the running back,
inside linebacker, place kicker, and kick off for Curwensville. He had over 100 tackles
and 3 field goals and is the 3rd highest scorer in Pennsylvania for the 2006 season.
Nick also found time to participate in wrestling. Nick is a 2 time PIAA place winner,
placing 2nd and 4th.
Nick tore his ALC in the summer of 2005 and played an entire football and wrestling
season without an ACL. He had surgery in March and rehabed to be able to participate
in the 2006 football season.
Since the year 2000, Nick worked at a Head Start Program during his summer vacations
and he volunteers his time at the church nursery. Nick has won many awards in
recognition of his achievements in football and wrestling. Included are AP All
State Running Back 2nd Team, D9 Player of the Year, Progress Player of the Year,
Tri County Player of the Year.

| How to Get Your Student in the Spotlight |
|
Balancing sports, schoolwork, and other activities is one of your
child's greatest challenges. We at MSA Sports would like to
spotlight some of these students who do just that - and do it WELL!
Parents, teachers, family members and friends, we need your help
identifying students to feature in the Student Athlete Spotlight.
Send a photograph of the student, along with some biographical
information. Student bio should be brief (2 or 3 paragraphs) and
include sport played and position, academic and other honors, GPA,
extracurricular activities, and any other information that helps to
showcase the achievements and character of this student athlete.
Once your child is selected we will send you a permission form to
allow us to post the student's picture and profile. Please
use this form to submit a student
for consideration.
